Four Thousand Attend Funeral Of 33 Muslim Civilians Killed In 1992
GRAPSKA, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AFP) - Some 4,000 mourners gathered here Saturday to attend a funeral of some 33 Muslim civilians believed to have been killed by Serb forces in 1992.
The religious service in this northern Bosnian village started around noon Saturday.
The victims were all killed on the same day, May 10, 1992.
The Muslim-led State Commission for Missing Persons, along with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), have exhumed some 10,800 bodies, believed to be of Muslims executed by the Bosnian Serb forces during the war.
Five years after the 1992-95 war that claimed some 200,000 lives ended, at least 17,380 Bosnians are still missing.
