On Sunday, February 17, Muslim-majority Kosovo made history becoming Europe's newest independent state. The declaration of independence, which came ten years after the end of a Serbian ethnic cleansing campaign, has been recognized by the US and Europe's big four. Yet, Muslim and Arab countries remain reluctant to follow suit.
