When
you look at me who do you see?
Do you look at me with sympathy or with glee?
When you look at me who do you see?
Cos I'll tell you who I am, I'm a refugee
Sometimes
when you see me you make a lot of noise
But how will you understand me if you don’t give me a voice
This is not my home, my place, I understand that
And if I had a choice I would just go back
I
am lonely, I am lost and my clothes are full of dust
But I have to eat, I have to live, survive I must
Tyranny,
war and bloodshed – it's just so hard to cope
But I must dream, I must strive, I have to have hope
So
when the winds of hope happen to blow my way
To my home I will return, my despair I'll put away
