While international media focuses on how the latest
round in the “cycle of violence” has brought current negotiations to
a standstill, the true nature of the Palestinian struggle remains
misunderstood.
This section looks at the Palestinian struggle within a
different framework. Rejecting the concept of a “cycle of violence,”
we turn first to history; what historical circumstances created this
current situation? Secondly, we deconstruct the American-sponsored
“peace process” and examine the fundamental flaws which mean that it
will never lead to genuine justice. Finally, we look at the many
different ways in which Palestinians express resistance to the
contemporary occupation; the daily struggle to survive and remain in
their land in the face of the most difficult obstacles is in itself the
greatest resistance.
