The
international media has successfully imposed the stereotype of the
suicide bomber as the central figure in the contemporary struggle for
Palestine. Yet to condense the contemporary struggle for Palestinian
independence to the image of a youth with a belt of explosives is an
entirely inaccurate image. This section shows the depth and breadth of
Palestinian resistance to Israeli aggression and the choices of
today’s generation in confronting Israeli apartheid: from grassroots
community action in Palestine and abroad to the simple fact of remaining
on the land in the face of decades of occupation.
