Our brothers and sisters in Africa are suffering from illiteracy and poverty while we are living happily, leading luxurious lives. This is not fair because Allah ordered us to help others and save the earth from famines.

We must do something for our African brothers and sisters, not only by giving them money and donations but we must also pray for them and tell our friends to pray for them too.

We have to do our best to save our brothers and sisters from death.

If we do our best, we might be able to save many children who stay for a long time without eating anything at all. We might make them smile.

I was always wondering why don’t we know a lot about Niger ? why not every Muslim is talking about their famine? while surely Niger 's problem is one of the most important problems in our Islamic world!!

I mean how can a Muslim eat while his sister, brother, mother and father is still hungry?? and how do we still have an over weight while they have skinny bodies?

Whenever I think of something like this I feel guilty cause all of us are going to be asked by Allah in the hereafter and surely Allah who is the symbol of mercy will give every body what he/she worth ..So what can we do to help these poor guys to be better?!!

I think we have to do some thing… Not only feel sorry but also do it practically:

First of all, we have to pray for them a lot. Then we have to help them by giving money and making projects to help them to work not only to eat as this will be positive attitude.

In addition, we have to take care of the natural economic resources and use it in a useful way.

We just have to work with devotion and Allah will help us. And then I am sure that Niger will be one of the best countries in the world.

Our religion is a message of peace and mercy for all mankind; and feeding needy and hungry people is a part of this mercy. Allah stressed on feeding needy people in the holy Qur'an:

"… giving food in a day of hunger (famine), to an orphan near to kin, or to a poor afflicted with misery…" Surat Al-Balad 14:16

Also, our messenger Mohammad (peace be upon him) is a mercy for all mankind, and he is our role model that we must stick to. He (pbuh) said that: He does not believe in me, the one who sleeps full while his neighbor is hungry."

At this moment in many places in west Africa (Niger, Mali, …etc) millions of innocent children are suffering from hunger. Thousands of mothers are watching -with hearts full of pain and eyes full of tears- their babies dying and can't give them a piece of bread or a cup of water to save their lives. We have to give them a hand. We have to support them with money, food, and doua'a. I wish if I was there to wipe away their tears and give a cup of water and a piece of bread to someone who is dying. May Allah support them and save all of us from such pain.
