Little Heaven – Long Term Rebuilding in Disaster Areas

Sree Kumar

Mar. 02, 2005

Little Heaven is making a contribution towards education, training, and skills development. It focuses its programs on talented and deserving underprivileged people who are feeling lost amidst the growing competition of a liberal economy. Unlike other NGOs, Little Heaven does not believe in taking government grants or donations from others primarily because we want to discourage people living from charity which often cuts at the very self-respect and dignity of an individual. Instead, we train and empower people to generate their own resources and learn to be independent. We promote free computer training programs for people who cannot afford the high costs of computer education offered by commercial schools. We are also introducing the Last Journey project under which unclaimed bodies or those who cannot find money for a decent burial are given support. Since the tsunami disaster this is a very real concern. We aim to help people regain their means of livelihood that was lost due to the tsunami disaster. Please help us to help them.
