I WITNESSED ALLAH’S LIVE HELP

Mustafa Ali - Islamabad, Pakistan

The true story about me which I want to narrate here is how the Creator of this universe helps an innocent man, when a man puts his all confidence and trust in Allah (Subhana Wata’ala).

I and a cousin of mine were best friends and often enjoyed both the blood relation and the sweetest friendship. We used to share the things of mutual confidence and trust and hardly have had any conflicting opinion or view during our discussions, showing a best level of friendship.

But it is a matter of routine that sometime this friendship can be vulnerable to misunderstandings, misconceptions or flaws, either true or false. A friendship between human beings always witnesses troughs and crests, ups and downs. So an unfortunate day came for our friendship too and my cousin became angry with me due to some misunderstanding. I tried my level best to convince my friend that that was just a misunderstanding on part of him and I had not any bad intention for him. But he showed a severe rigidity regarding all the matter, perhaps it was a sign of this best friendship! Anyway, I carried on trying to convince him by all worldly means but to no avail.

During this course of action, I learnt that losing a best friend without any reasonable cause could be a worst experience of one’s life. I could not take my friend back to the ideal track of intimacy that we enjoyed in past, despite all worldly efforts. As it is a human nature that disappointment attacks soon in a way of struggle for something; I was disappointed too and became frustrated. I gave up trying to persuade my friend and became totally silent about the matter of misunderstanding between us.

One day I was very much worried about our tottered friendship and this worry lead me to another Friend, a Friend who knows the best of everything happening in this universe. A Friend who is the Creator of human beings and of everything, and knows best about all things. He is the most Gracious and the most Merciful. Surely you know Him, His Name is Allah (SWT).He knows even about our intentions and thinking. I have had put all my views before Allah in the prayer of Hajat, a masnoon prayer recommended by the Prophet Mohammad (Peace be Upon Him), for requesting Allah (SAW) to fulfill some legitimate worldly desire. I offered two nawafils of the Salawa-tul-Hajaat and at the end recited the masnoon dua for Hajaat .During the prayer I requested Allah (SAW) that I am innocent regarding the misunderstanding between both of us---I and my cousin---and please bring my friend back to me.

I started reciting the four Names of Allah (SAW) too for this purpose; Al-Aziz (The Mighty), Al-Mujib (The Responsive), Al-Jameel (The Most Beautiful) and Al-Raheem (The Most Merciful). While reciting these Names, my inner self started assuring me that soon your angry friend shall come to you and both of you shall be able to enjoy your friendship again. This unseen assurance was not less than a blessing from my Creator, the Almighty. A feeling of optimism and hope was blessed to me due to this communication with Allah (SAW); infact praying to Allah is like an uninterruptible communication with the Almighty. The continuous recitation of the four names of Allah after prayer of Hajat brought me to a firm belief in Allah that He shall bring my angry friend back to me. And now readers will enjoy the most interesting incident.

While reciting the Names of Allah, I felt some drowsiness, my eyes were closed, and during the drowsiness, I felt that my angry friend was coming to me. In the next moment I came out of the drowsiness and what I saw…….behold….incredible…..my cousin was standing before me and offering me Assalamu’alaikum!!!! Allah had accepted my prayers. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. We became friends again due to Allah’s help. Later on my cousin expressed that he was brought to me by an unseen Power and he was surprised too that how that was happened. The Power was infact of the Almighty, to whom I had been requesting for some days. This live help from Allah (SAW) made my belief more firm. Surely Islam is a religion of benefit and peace. May Allah make all the humans able to get this benefit and peace! (Aameen)
