A series of bomb attacks on the Indonesian resort island of
Bali has killed at least 22 people.
Two blasts went off at a seaside area packed with
restaurants. Another was at Kuta beach, the area most
popular with Western tourists.
When Indonesia's Assembly speaker professor Amien Rais was
asked following last October blasts what motives could be
behind that attacks he said:
"I don't know, the worst thing is probably it is kind of
doomsday scenario, engineered by certain political circles
which want to see Indonesia bankrupt, or it is conducted,
committed by kind of irresponsible people to achieve their
own goals, just to shake our stability."
