Can you imagine that the USA or France, or any other
western country are suffering from a famine?? The answer
is "No way", they are wealthy countries.
On the other hand, in many countries in west Africa (Niger,
Mali, Mauritania, Burkina Faso) a terrible famine is
happening now because of lack of food and supplies. So
surely, people think, they must be very poor countries. But
the fact is that all of these countries are wealthy. For
instance, beneath the land of Niger there is a lot of oil,
gold, and other precious minerals. Can you believe that?
Now, here is the question: Why do you think that has
happened?
I am so bewildered.. Does anyone have a reasonable answer?
