Reading the "US Woman Waits Decision to 'Live
or
Die'" news story, I felt deep and sincere sympathy
with
this patient. The case of the brain-damaged Florida
patient
is a very thorny one. I think Islam is against her
killing,
because life is a gift from the creator. Also, who knows
what could happen in future.
If you are in her shoes, how would you react? Who is
right,
her husband or her parents? Does the state has the right
to
decide to kill or not to kill in such cases?
May Allah have mercy upon all the good ones.
