Away from the legality of Amena Wadud’s action, this case
raises many questions; Does Islam treat man and woman on
equal footing? What is Islam’s view of both man and woman?
Can there be a real ideal equality between them on all
levels i.e. socially, legally, physiologically, etc… Will
both of them accept the alleged equality?.
