The USA will NEVER allow terrorism to influence our
policies. We don't care whether you're trying to save the
Palestanians, the rain forest, or the Spotted Owl. The
ISSUE is irrelevant. As long as someone trys to get the USA
to change ANY policy by killing our civilians and blowing
up our embassies they will receive a deaf ear and will feel
the full brunt of every weapon at our disposal. They have
vowed that either they or the USA will be destroyed. NOW,
we agree with them!

What is terrorism? Since I'm a mere citizen and not a
politician worried about being politically correct, I can
give you a straight answer. Terrorism is an individual,
group, or government that trys to kill as many civilians
(or non-combatants) as possible in an effort to get what
they want. It is NOT an individual, group, or government
attacking a valid military target where some civlians are
killed as a result. THAT is an act of war. Per that
definition, the attack on the Pentagon would NOT have been
an act of terrorism if they had NOT taken a civilian
jetliner filled with people to do it. It WOULD have been an
act of war.

If the Palestanians or Islamic militants want to form an
army, arm them, and attack USA's military bases or Israeli
military bases, then that would not be terrorism. It would
be an act of war and the attacked parties will respond
accordingly. However, if they choose to attack and kill
unarmed civlians then it is an act of terrorism. This sort
of despicable act will be met with every means of force at
our disposal and the rules of war will not constrain us.

See the difference?

Terrorist organizations such as Usama and al-Quada have
broken the sanctity of international standards that even
the Nazi's knew better than to cross. They blew up our
embassies! Everyone in the international community of
nations have always held embassies sacred because they know
that embassies are the means by which nations communicate
with each other and official communication between
countries is vital even between countries at war.

Ask yourself this question: Why hasn't ANY Arab government
OPENLY ADVOCATED the use of terrorism? Some of them have
areas of agreement with Usama and Hamas but they haven't
advocated "open season" on USA and/or Israeli citizens. The
reason is that even though they may agree with the
terrorists on some goals they UNDERSTAND the need for
maintaining the fabric of civilization by maintaining
international standards even between nations at war. The
Arab governments also understand that terrorism has ALWAYS
FAILED TO ACHIEVE ITS OBJECTIVE and has ALWAYS BACKFIRED ON
THE PERPETRATORS.

In summary, an unholy war has been declared on the USA for
a long time. We just refused to acknowledge it. NOW we
acknowledge that a group of people with no sense of
standards even between people at war have vowed our
destruction. We will do whatever is necessary to defeat
these people and the standards of war will not constrain us.
